Founded in 2007, the annual William J. Gies Awards for Vision, Innovation and Achievement (The Gies Awards) are a catalyst for change—to encourage new ideas, generate opportunities and tackle issues facing the not-so-distant future of dental education. Named after dental education pioneer William J. Gies, Ph.D., the Gies Awards recognizes the work of modern-day trailblazers who are leading academic dentistry forward. Together, let's honor the legacy of Dr. Gies, promote the work of future-ready leaders and celebrate the innovation and achievement of visionaries in our community.

More than 650 attendees representing dental education in the United States and Canada—plus our many corporate and nonprofit partners—will join us at the gala in celebration of our outstanding Gies Awards winners.

All ticket sales, donations and sponsorships help bring to scale important innovations of future awardees, researchers and educators through Foundation funding. To date, the ADEAGies Foundation^® has funded more than $1.8 million in grants and scholarships to meet the evolving needs of academic dentistry.
